“Sound strategy starts with having the right goal”, says Michael Eugene Porter, a renowned American academic. Despite clear goals, the admission strategy for schools involves educating, engaging, and influencing parents and students at multiple touch points. Until last year, students preferred taking admission to a school that is closest to their residence. And then COVID happened. Suddenly everything went digital. Distance education started and became the new normal. The prevailing situation has affected the schools and the process of learning for students. While distance is no longer a constraint for students to enrol in a course, the right approach can encourage students from different geographies to consider our school and boost admissions. On 10th April 21 our teachers campaigned at Masuri under the guidance of our Principal Dr Poonam Singh Minhas. Mr Y.P. Singh, Ms Heena, Ms Nidhi & Ms Pratiksha all supported the event. The event started at 11:00 am and went until 1:00 pm. There were numerous entries, and parents were impressed with the school’s vision & mission.
Mothers have a very special place in our hearts. And why not, she truly deserves it. She takes care of her child from the moment they are born. To celebrate our incredible mothers, Gyan Anant Vidyalaya organized a Mother’s Day event in their honour. Children expressed their emotions of gratitude and love for their mothers. The schools planned ahead to celebrate Mother's Day. The program was organized in a manner that every child could participate, and have their mother see them and get happy. The COVID-19 vaccines provide protection by developing an immune response to the SARS-Cov-2 Virus. The vaccinations reduce the risk of developing the illness and helps fight it if contracted. Vaccination is a tried & tested way to develop an immunity to fight the virus if exposed. Getting vaccinated may also protect people around you, because if you are protected from getting infected and from disease, you are less likely to infect someone else. It is particularly important to protect people at an increased risk for severe illness from COVID-19, such as healthcare providers, older or elderly adults, and people with other medical conditions. The COVID 19 Vaccination programme began in our school for all the Teachers and other staff members on 13th April 2021. Digital Pedagogies for Teaching and Learning It is a well-established fact that the quality of teachers at a school directly impacts the students. Teachers are increasingly expected to employ integrated technology practices in their classrooms to help students learn better. This need is exacerbated by the recent COVID -19 pandemic, forcefully migrating the physical learning environment to a virtual space. Furthermore, teachers act as planners, initiators, climate builders, facilitators and guides, and are central to interpreting and implementing any curriculum. SDG 4 calls for quality education to develop peaceful and sustainable societies. At GAV, teachers are well trained and workshops are organized from time to time by Extramarks, Microsoft Teams and Kneaura Teach to equip them with the right skills required to use the digital medium effectively in order to make learning fun, interactive and immersive. These workshops are arranged under the supervision of the school principal Dr Poonam Singh Minhas. Dr. Poonam Singh Minhas.

Good or Evil? It's time to make a choice!
October's session of Pearl of Wisdom brainstormed the students to think more about their actions and its outcome. No matter how hard Evil tries, it can never quite match up to the power of Good, because Evil is ultimately self-destructive. Evil may set out to corrupt others, but in the process corrupts itself.
