School Library

Library is one of the main centers of learning in any educational institution. Our school library will have storybooks, reference books, periodicals, Magazines, activity books, newspapers according to the interest of the students and teachers. They will be updated with current happenings. It has been proved that children who read are better able to analyze and perform better in a given situation.

Beyond The Class Rooms

The child will learn about life skills apart from reading, writing, numbers. The child will experience not only quality education but also enjoy the surroundings. At Gyan Anant Vidyalaya environment study will start from the idea of learning five elements i.e, earth, sky, air, fire and water. The environmental awareness activities related to protection, conservation, preservation and restoration of natural resources will be introduced to the children during school hours. The children will be taken out in natural surroundings to get first-hand information through conducting practicals themselves. They will learn how to recharge groundwater and water collection from the paved area. How to make use of stored water for gardening, mopping/ toilets, etc. and rainwater harvesting from the rooftop for underground recharge as well as about LED/CFL to save energy will be experienced personally by the children under the guidance of experienced teachers.

The school will add the practices of recycling of wet and dry waste management processes on the campus, to produce Biogas and vermicomposting as additional practical methods of training for the children. They will be kept close to nature. Children will be encouraged to give saplings as birthday gifts to their near and dear ones.

Children will be made to realize the supreme value of a healthy environment. They will be encouraged to avoid unhealthy habits like using plastic bags, littering things around their houses, schools, eating places, etc. The children will have the experience of learning through touching, moving, listening and observing birds and insects, their nests, sounds, colors, shapes, etc. while exploring the school herbal garden and forest area.

Value-based learning creates an environment which helps the children to achieve academic and also to develop their social and personal relationship skills that remain throughout their life. The values in our school will not be taught as a separate subject but by the action and behavior of children and the teachers. The teachers will have a positive attitude and support to develop the feeling of security and love which is the basic need of the children.

Value education is a process of socialization that is experienced by the children through songs, plays, discussions, themes of projects, the system of rewards, appreciation, storytelling, cultural activities, etc. The values like respect, love, honesty, unity, co-operation, courage, friendship, appreciation, patience, trust, positivity, happiness, peace, etc. will help the children to develop reflective learners to grow as civilized citizens.

Certain activities take place outside the classroom where children can get an opportunity to develop particular skills and exhibit their hidden inner abilities. Performing Arts will be the true and practical experience gained by students by their own learning.

"Teach me, and I will forget", show me, and I might remember", Involve me, and I will never forget" __It is a very apt proverb in the case of performing arts. Cultural activities will help to enhance the all-round personality of the students. They develop self-confidence and if proper facilities are given to develop their specialized skills they can be successful in their lives.

In our school, students will be motivated in the field of music, dance and performing arts, etc., so that they will feel a sense of belonging to the Indian culture and will have higher self-esteem by participating at national and international level.

Cultural activities will help the students to develop their potential, identify their strengths and interest outside the classroom teaching.
